Learn to Row

TARGETED CLIENTELE

Adults new to the sport of rowing or novice rowers who would like to review the basics of the sport.

SCHEDULE

In 2017, the initiation course "Learn to Row" will be given on monday and wesnesday for two consecutive weeks (4 x 2hrs evening classes). In case of bad weather or bad conditions on the water, the courses will be postponed to the following weekend. The cost of the course is $ 249*, and benefit from a discount on a subscription to "fitness and recreational" program depending on the time of the season.

PREREQUISITES

Be able to swim.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This introductory course is designed for anyone wishing to learn the basics of rowing. Learning the technique in 4 lessons of 2 hours each. Students receive practical training before starting their first outing on the water supervised by one or more monitors.

 

* Registration with Rowing Canada and the Quebec Rowing Association is mandatory included in price.

** After the courses, it is possible to join "Fitness and recreational program" and row a crew of similar experience

Note: After each session, a small evaluation ensures that the basic regulations are met (safety, equipment, operations)
