Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is pleased to announce two new funding opportunities that will help foster growth and development of the sport across the country.
“These two programs are aligned with RCA’s strategies to drive, growth and excellence within Canada’s rowing community,” said Donna Atkinson, Rowing Canada Chief Executive Officer. “Through significant financial contributions provided by Immunotec Inc. and an anonymous donor, we are able extend this support to our clubs and up-and-coming athletes in a meaningful way.”
Immunotec Inc., a Canadian based company and a leader in the wellness industry and Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) are pleased to announce a new partnership that sees Immunotec becoming an official sponsor and supplier of sport performance nutrition supplements to RCA’s National Team athletes as they strive towards podium success in Rio 2016.
On November 22nd, 2013, Nicole Léger, Ministre de la Famille and Ministre responsable de la région de Laval, announced a grant of $1.7 million to the Laval Rowing Club. This sum, to be allocated by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport, will be destined for the expansion of the Club's facilities, notably the addition of an indoor rowing tank and weight training room, and the renovation of the Club's existing boat bays.

At the recent Head of the Charles, several Canadian crews excelled against high-calibre crews from across North America and Europe. A men’s eight from the Kennebecasis Rowing Club, a determined crew of National Team alumni, put in an outstanding performance to take the winners position in the Master 40+ age group.
